kube-router is a distributed load balancer, firewall, and router for Kubernetes. kube-router can be configured to provide:

• Kubernetes NetworkPolicy enforcement
• Kubernetes LoadBalancer IPAM controller
• IPVS/LVS based service proxy for ClusterIP, NodePort, and LoadBalancer service types
• Service discovery and load balancing
• BGP route advertisement and pod-to-pod connectivity

kube-router is a control path only application and uses tried and true Linux kernel constructs (like iptables, ipvs, ipsets, iproute2, etc.) for the data path ensuring a minimal foot print and stable routing for your containerized applications.
